Frequently Asked Questions

What events do you cover?

We provide medical and first aid cover for a wide range of events, from small community gatherings to large-scale public festivals, in full alignment with the Purple Guide’s Tier 1 to Tier 5 classification system. This means we’re equipped to support everything from low-risk events with fewer than 500 attendees, to major public gatherings exceeding 10,000 people that require multi-agency coordination and advanced medical planning. Our services are tailored to the specific risk profile of each event, including considerations such as crowd size, duration, alcohol use, and anticipated medical needs. Whether you're organising a local fair, a multi-day music festival, or a high-capacity sporting event, we ensure that our healthcare provision meets regulatory standards—including CQC expectations—and integrates seamlessly with Martyn’s Law criteria. Our team is experienced in delivering inclusive, neurodiversity-aware care and can incorporate British Sign Language-led support where needed, ensuring accessibility and safety for all attendees.

Do you comply with regulations?

Yes. We operate in full alignment with both the Purple Guide (Health, Safety and Welfare at Music and Other Events) and the Green Guide (Safety at Sports Grounds), ensuring our services meet best practice standards for event medical provision. While Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration is not currently mandatory for all providers, it is strongly recommended—particularly when healthcare professionals (HCPs) such as paramedics or nurses are deployed. We are actively working towards CQC registration to further strengthen our clinical governance and demonstrate our commitment to safe, regulated care.

What qualifications do your staff have?

Our staff hold nationally recognised qualifications that meet or exceed the standards recommended in the Purple Guide. Specifically, the Purple Guide advises a minimum of Level D on the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) framework, developed by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care. This level corresponds with the competencies delivered through the Level 3 First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) and First Responder on Scene (FROS 3) qualifications, as provided by awarding bodies such as QualSafe and FutureQuals. These courses equip responders with the essential skills to manage a wide range of prehospital emergency situations, making them ideally suited for event medical cover across Tiers 1–5.

Are healthcare professionals provided?

Yes. We provide qualified healthcare professionals (HCPs) for events where their presence is required. All our pre-hospital HCPs meet competency levels defined within the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework developed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. These levels (A–H) ensure responders are appropriately trained and governed for their role, from basic life support to advanced clinical care. Our deployment aligns with best practice guidance outlined in the Purple Guide, which recommends matching staff qualifications to the nature and risk profile of the event

What is your pricing structure?

Our pricing is tailored to the specific needs and risk profile of each event. We consider factors such as event size, duration, location, medical risk level (based on the Purple Guide’s Tier 1–5 classification), and the qualifications required of our staff. Whether you're organising a small community gathering or a large-scale public event, we offer scalable packages that reflect the level of medical cover needed—from single responders to multi-disciplinary teams with advanced equipment.

We’re happy to provide a detailed quote following a brief consultation, ensuring clarity around staffing, equipment, travel, and any additional compliance requirements such as CQC alignment or Martyn’s Law considerations. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, inclusive care at a fair and transparent rate.
